​Luggage check-in at the station platform:

  • Opens 60 minutes before scheduled departure
  • Closes 30 minutes before departure

Luggage trolleys are available, no coins are needed.

If you are checking-in luggage, please be at the station ready to board 45-60 minutes before your train departure time (luggage check in closes 30 minutes before scheduled departure).

If you are not checking-in luggage, please be at the station ready to board 15 minutes before train departure time.​​

Station Walkthrough

Proserpine railway station is located on Hinschen Street. It services passenger trains travelling northbound to Cairns and southbound to Brisbane. There is one platform, which is located on the eastern side of the track. Access to the platform is via a flat path. There is parking available, including accessible space, at the front of the station. 

At Proserpine station there is a ticket office, luggage trolley and scales, customer seating and shelter. There are toilets, including an accessible option, which also have baby change facilities and a sharps bin. There is a hearing loop for announcements. 

There is a drop off and pick up area at the front of the station and a bus stop. 

There is no level access to the train itself from the platform. If you need assistance boarding, please let our staff know at the time of booking, and we will be happy to help.
