Roma Street railway station is a major station in Brisbane City and the wider Queensland Rail network. Platform 10 is where the long-distance trains typically depart and arrive and is on the Parkland Crescent side of the station, to the north.

There is a drop off zone at the front of the station for people with a disability. The Brisbane Coach Terminal is located across the road from the station. Paid parking for more than just a quick drop off is available under the Parklands apartments past the coach terminal. Access to the platform from the front of the station is flat. From the subway which has access to other local train platforms, access to Platform 10 is via a travellator, lift or stairs. 

On the platform, at the eastern end, there is an assisted travel boarding point, Travel Centre, luggage check-in facilities, luggage scales and a lift. Male and female toilets and a unisex accessible toilet with a baby change facility are in the middle of the platform. Sheltered seating and customer information screens are located along the length of the platform. There is a hearing loop on the platform for station announcements. An air-conditioned customer lounge with tables and chairs, a drink fountain and multiple power points, is in the middle of the platform, past the toilets.

There is a help phone and a taxi phone towards the exit to the bus station. There is a payphone in the subway. Tactile indicators are installed along the edges of the platform.
