Ipswich railway station is located underneath the Ipswich Health Plaza, between Bell Street to the west and East Street in the east. It services trains travelling westbound to Charleville and back into Brisbane Roma Street station, as well as trains in the South East Queensland (SEQ) network. The station has four platforms across two island platforms, with tracks on each side. Platforms 1 and 2 are to the south and 3 and 4 are to the north. The station can be accessed via Bell Street, where lifts and ramps offer access to the platforms. There is a carpark, including accessible spaces off Bell Street. There is another carpark which is accessed from Olga Street. 

Inside the entrance of the Ipswich Health Plaza there is: 

• customer information screens
• customer service window including ticketing for long-distance trains 
• hearing loop
• ticketing and Go-card top-up machine (SEQ services only)
• vending machines.

You will find several facilities on the platforms for your convenience.

Platforms 1 and 2:​​​

• toilets (accessible).

Bus stops and taxi bays are located next to the station on Bell Street, providing connections to various local destinations.
